As a Principal BDC Business Process consultant you will play the role of the trusted advisor of Data Architecture to our most significant customers, providing thought leadership towards customers corporate data vision and strategy to gain maximum business value for their enterprise data. Drive customers for the enterprise adoption of SAPs Business Data Cloud as the foundation for advanced analytics and AI and help organizations adopt data productdriven architectures using SAP best practices. Define longrange architectural strategy, influence Csuite decisionmaking, safeguard the integrity of complex, crossplatform data landscapes, lead customers through pivotal architectural choices, mitigate highimpact risks, and shape the data vision that positions BDC as a missioncritical business capability. Key Responsibilities Position SAP BDC as the enterprise data foundation driving analytics, AI, and data gravity back to SAP. Serve as a strategic, trusted advisor on data and analytics strategy and data architecture for executives and project leaders. Define and communicate longterm data architectural vision and roadmaps; drive highimpact design decisions. Establish data architectural guardrails, govern adherence, and manage tradeoffs and technical debt. Guide customers through complex project situations and mitigate architectural risks. Coordinate with SAP delivery teams and contribute to Clevel and steering committee reporting. Design customerspecific data architectures, milestones, and quality gates for major programs. Education, Skills & Competencies Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business. 15+ years in customerfacing consulting roles with experience in enterprise architecture or presales advisory roles. Proven expertise in solution architecture and design for largescale data and analytics platforms, ideally within the SAP ecosystem. Experience designing and governing largescale SAP or enterprise data architectures. Demonstrated ability to lead, guide, and instruct teams across regions and, where required, globally, fostering knowledge transfer and capability uplift. Solid understanding of cloud concepts, data architecture, and enterprise data management. Strong understanding of cloud operations, platform stacks, and hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of ITSM, service design, compliance, and cybersecurity principles. Executive communication, influence, and storytelling for technical and business audiences. Advanced critical thinking and complex problemsolving. Strategic thought leadership and ability to shape longterm customer direction. Objection handling and valuebased advisory skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust across senior stakeholders. SAPSpecific Knowledge Strong knowledge of SAP data and analytics solutions (such as SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Datasphere, SAP HANA Cloud, or similar platforms), with the ability and motivation to rapidly learn and apply new SAP Business Data Cloud capabilities. Expertise in areas such as BDC, Datasphere, BW Modernization, SAP HANA Cloud, and SAC. Strong crossapplication understanding (S/4HANA, Ariba, Concur, Fieldglass, SCM, SuccessFactors). Experience with MDG, Databricks integration, Industry Cloud, Sustainability, and AI solutions. Prior SAP consulting and enterprise architecture experience. Beneficial Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks and/or Snowflake. Handson experience in artificial intelligence (AI), particularly with SAP Business AI or similar enterprise AI solutions. Experience in business planning and financial processes (e.g., SAP BPC, SAP Planning, or similar solutions). Knowledge of ABAP programming and its application within SAP data and analytics environments. Personal Attributes High integrity, reliability, and ability to work effectively under pressure.
