We are partnering with a prominent financial services organisation to find a talented Commercial Lawyer to join their legal and risk team on a 12-month fixed-term contract . About the Role Youll be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, software licenses, and outsourcing arrangements. Your expertise will help shape business decisions and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks. Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts to support operational and strategic goals Advise on contractual risks and mitigation strategies Collaborate with internal teams to ensure legal alignment with business objectives Manage relationships with external legal counsel within budget parameters Stay abreast of legislative and regulatory developments Support the development of internal policies and procedures Assist with ad-hoc commercial and corporate legal matters About You Admitted as a solicitor in Australia with a current practising certificate Minimum 7 years post-admission experience in commercial law, ideally within financial services or insurance Strong background in contract law, including drafting and negotiation Previous in-house experience or time at a top-tier law firm is highly regarded Skills & Attributes Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Confident stakeholder engagement and influencing skills High attention to detail and commitment to quality Proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative Why Apply?
