About the role The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a critical member of Ozcares Executive Leadership Team, responsible for the organisations financial stewardship, commercial performance and longterm sustainability across a diverse and growing portfolio of aged care, community services, health and retirement living operations. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO operates as a trusted strategic partner to the CEO and Board, providing insight, challenge and leadership across all financial and commercial matters. The role encompasses endtoend responsibility for financial strategy, governance, prudential compliance, investment oversight, treasury, and operational finance, while also playing a central role in enabling organisational transformation and growth. This position requires a contemporary, valuesled financial leader who can navigate increasing regulatory complexity, sector reform and funding change, while maintaining a strong focus on financial discipline, transparency and longterm resilience. The CFO will lead a multidisciplinary finance function, uplift capability and culture, and ensure the organisations financial systems, processes and reporting are fitforpurpose to support scale, efficiency and highquality service delivery. As Ozcare continues to evolve, the CFO will be instrumental in supporting acquisitions, major capital and investment decisions, and enterprisewide initiatives including systems implementations and workforce transformation. This is a highly influential role requiring strong commercial acumen, sound judgement and the ability to balance mission, risk and opportunity in a dynamic, highly regulated environment. Key accountabilities Lead Ozcares financial strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities, mission, values and longterm sustainability. Act as a trusted strategic adviser to the CEO and Board, providing expert insight on financial performance, investment strategy, risk and growth opportunities. Drive advanced financial modelling, scenario planning and longterm forecasting to support informed decisionmaking in a changing regulatory environment. Ensure strong financial governance, compliance and prudential oversight, including accurate reporting, audit readiness and adherence to aged care financial requirements. Oversee treasury, liquidity, cashflow and capital management, including stewardship of Ozcares investment portfolio in line with Boardapproved risk appetite. Lead and develop a highperforming, valuesled finance function, uplifting capability, accountability and succession across all finance disciplines. Own enterprise budgeting and forecasting processes, including the critical FebruaryMarch budget cycle and ongoing performance reporting. Provide commercial leadership across growth initiatives, including acquisitions, due diligence, valuation, integration planning and postacquisition performance. Partner closely with operational leaders to support cost efficiency, workforce strategy, funding optimisation and service performance across a multisite organisation. Deliver clear, credible and strategic financial reporting and insights to the CEO, Board, Committees and external stakeholders, including regulators, auditors and financiers. The CFO Ozcare is seeking a valuesdriven, commercially astute CFO with significant experience operating in complex, regulated environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical capability, sound judgement and confidence to influence the Board and executive level, while remaining grounded in humility and purpose. While experience in aged care, health or human services is highly desirable, candidates from other large, missionled or regulated organisations will also be considered. A CA or CPA qualification is essential, along with demonstrated experience in financial governance, investment oversight, M&A and executive leadership.
