About the PositionWe are seeking an experienced Loan Administration and Servicing Officer to join our high performing team based in Brisbane''s CBD. In this key role, you will deliver exceptional service to our borrowers while managing a range of post-settlement loan administration and servicing activities across the business.You will be supported by a collaborative and inclusive team culture that genuinely values worklife balance. Following a successful onboarding period, we can offer flexible working arrangements, giving you the opportunity to combine the convenience of working from home with the connection and energy of the office environment.ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end loan servicing activities, including the accurate processing of loan disbursements, repayments, transfers, draws, and advances (where applicable).Maintain borrower account integrity by updating contact details and account information while responding to internal and external enquiries and resolving issues efficiently and professionally.Oversee loan lifecycle events such as cancellations and closures, ensuring all actions are completed in line with policy and service standards.Administer loan payments, including direct debits, manual payments, and overpayments, with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.Apply and interpret various loan interest rate structures (e.g. fixed, variable), accurately processing rate adjustments in accordance with loan agreements.Investigate and resolve interest calculation discrepancies, demonstrating strong problemsolving and attention to detail.Ensure loan account data is accurately updated and maintained within core banking systems to support reporting, compliance, and customer experience.QualificationsMinimum of 1-3 years'' experience in a banking or financial institution, with a focus on loan servicing or related operations.Demonstrated understanding of loan interest rate calculation methods and principles with strong problemsolving and analytical abilities.Proficiency in using banking core processing systems for loan account management.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent organisational and timemanagement skills.Preferred Skills and QualificationsExperience with specific banking systems Ultracs preferred but not essential.Knowledge of relevant Australian banking regulations (e.g. National Consumer Credit Protection Act).Experience in handling escalated loan servicing issues.About the CompanyThe Firstmac Group is an awardwinning leader in lending in Australia for home and car loans, with brands Firstmac, loans.com.au, CarLoans.com.au and carbuying service OnlineAuto.com.au.
