Professionals within our Marketing and Communications, Information Technology, Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, Office Infrastructure, Legal, and Real Estate teams are dedicated to working together and delivering world class support across our global community.Job ResponsibilitiesThe Assistant Accountant will be assisting the Accounting Team with a range of accounting responsibilities including, financial accounting, reporting and compliance functions. The role reports to Director Corporate Accounting.Working closely with the Accountant and Senior Accountants, the Assistant Accountant will have the following responsibilities:Assisting with month-end close to ensure that financial statements are accurately stated and deadlines are metProcessing month-end journal entries and preparing month-end balance sheet reconciliationsRecording intercompany accounting transactions and the related reconciliations across entitiesAssisting with the monthly variance analysis on both State and National basisAssisting with the preparation of Business Activity StatementsAssisting with analysing data for Fringe Benefit Tax returnsAssisting with collation of data for External and Internal audits including SOX auditsAssisting with various reporting including utilisation reporting, trend analysis and other ad-hoc reportingOther ad-hoc responsibilitiesKey RequirementsDegree qualified accountant with 1+ year of accounting experienceProfessional services industry experience preferred but not essentialWorking Knowledge of ERP system preferred but not essentialStrong attention to detailCommitment, self-motivation and deadline drivenKeen to work in a fast-paced environment and multinational organisationAbility to interact and engage with key stakeholdersGood communication and interpersonal skills.Our BenefitsApart from the well-structured career path and excellent team environment, our employees enjoy a variety of perks and benefits.
