Every day we work through insight and innovation to help bakers thrive together we sustainably feed the nation.Job DescriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for a NIR Quality Technician to join our team at the Mauri head office in Enfield. This role analyses NearInfrared Reflectance (NIR) test data from flour and feed mills nationwide, ensuring results are accurately maintained in our central database. You will work closely with the NIR Technical Manager and site teams to keep our NIR instruments calibrated and accurate.NearInfrared Spectroscopy (NIR) is a rapid, nondestructive testing technique used at Mauri to measure key quality parameters such as Moisture, Protein, Ash and other performance indicators. NIR provides results in seconds with minimal sample preparation, supporting routine quality control, process monitoring and production decisionmaking. It plays a critical role in maintaining consistent product quality and optimising performance through regular calibration, verification and bias adjustment.ResponsibilitiesConsolidate NIR test data from multiple milling sites and compare it with lab results, identifying any outofspec results and coordinating retests or instrument checks as needed.Assist with necessary updates and maintenance of existing NIR calibration models for various products.Work with site quality teams to resolve any NIR issues quickly through clear communication regarding NIR performance trends and basic troubleshooting.About YouThe suitable candidate will possess:An appreciation of data accuracy with experience with large data sets.An understanding of laboratory or quality control processes.The ability to work with specialised software.A curious and analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail.Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to a range of stakeholders in simple terms.A scientific background with a degree in Science or Engineering (required).What''s on Offer at Mauri?A genuine focus on personal development.A culture that celebrates diversity and authenticity.Equal OpportunityGWF is an equalopportunity employer and invites applications from diverse backgrounds.
