Add expected salary to your profile for insights Permanent Part Time, up to 48 hours per fortnight Nurses & Midwives Enterprise Agreement, ANUM Year 1 / 2 ($59.16 / $61.15 p/h excluding allowances) Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is a clinical position recognised as a key support management / leadership position within the health care organisation and is central to the fulfilment of West Gippsland Healthcare Groups (WGHG) mission and vision. As a leader of the nursing profession, the ANUM is responsible for clinical outcomes, assists in setting expectations, developing, planning and managing processes to assess, improve and maintain the professions management, clinical, educational and support activities. This position is to provide a partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to provide sound clinical leadership to all staff, to ensure the implementation of the Aged Care Quality Standards and National Safety and Quality Health Service standards (for SubAcute) which is demonstrated in individualised care planning and implementation and is evaluated with a focus on outcomes for consumers. The ANUM will act as a professional role model, who demonstrates advanced clinical knowledge and skills, whilst assuming a management focus in the area. The ANUM assumes the responsibilities and administrative operation requirements of the unit, in the absence of the NUM. The ANUM accepts responsibility and is accountable for designated management portfolios and projects. Our preferred candidate will have: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. An understanding of Human Resource processes. A commitment to a leadership and mentoring role. Sound knowledge and experience of contemporary and holistic practices in both acute and gerontological nursing. Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. A thorough understanding and respect for confidentiality requirements. Responsible and mature work attitude. Dedicated to delivering consumer centred care. The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous: Knowledge of Aged Care Standards Knowledge of National Safety and Quality Health Service standards Knowledge of National Disability Insurance Scheme standards Knowledge of ANACC and other funding models associated to the services offered. Previous experience in similar role Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support Knowledge of privacy legislation and document control. IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies).
