Apply now Job no: 496699Work type: FT - WhiteLocation: NewcastleCategories: Project ManagementSite Based within NewcastleConstruction & refurbishment projects, high rise buildings and access systemsProject values ranging from $1 $20 MiilTHE ROLEJoin Duratec''s growing NSW team and assist in the delivery of remediation projects including Heritage remediation projects on construction sites including high rise buildings across Newcastle.You will be primarily responsible for project deliverables and operations, overseeing and coordination of our projects.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and manage construction programs.Regular cost forecasts and management of cost controls/reporting for allocated projects.Project progress reporting and conducting weekly meetingsLiaise closely with the client ensuring project runs to programPrepare, Review and complete subcontractor claims and variationsEnsure compliance with HSEQ requirementsCoordinate direct labour and subcontractorsProvision of advice on any technical and engineering issuesInvolvement with tendering/estimationCreate and modify ITP''s and SWMSRaise RFI''s and track responsesReview tender packages and preparation of subcontract agreementsYOUR EXPERIENCEYou will have experience in a similar role, managing facade replacement and Heritage restoration construction projects and an understanding of new construction and refurbishment project methodologies.10 years in construction industry in similar role or value, managing remediation projects on high rise buildingsStrong understanding and appreciation for waterproofing, painting, window and door installations and tiling, and roof works.Leadership skills and understanding of leadership responsibilitiesA high level of understanding and appreciation for safetyCommercial acumenProgramming and planning skillsContract awareness and cost tracking experienceAbility to positively influence, develop and maintain stakeholder relationships with clients and internal team membersSelf-managing while working well in a team environmentProblem-solving ability and can ''think outside the box''Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage deadlinesQUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSConstruction White CardDrivers LicenceTertiary qualificationin Construction or Project ManagementTHE BENEFITSOngoing rewards & recognition programsCompany paid parental leaveEmployee referral programs up to $2000Employee Assistance ProgramStudy assistanceFirst Aid and Mental First Aid Support Officers availablePlease submit your resume today and one of our friendly recruiters will be in touch with next steps.
