Responsible for the safe and efficient installation of structural steel on construction sites.Assist in all aspects of structural steel installation including hammer drilling, slinging loads, and dogging mobile cranes.Must have experience with rigging techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.We are seeking experienced Riggers to join our team at Steelworks Constructions in the SouthEast Queensland region. As a Rigger (Top hand), you will be responsible for the safe and efficient Installation of Structural Steel as a on construction sites. This is a Full-time work, 3-month probation permanent day shift positions is offered with competitive pay rates, regular overtime.You will be responsible for:Working at heights and with mobile equipment for installation of Structural SteelWorking with the crew to assist in all aspects of structural steel installation including Hammer drilling, Slinging up loads, Dogging mobile cranes, Installing Purlin, Bridging etcUsing hand and power tools for Structural steel erection.Successful applicants will have:Experience as a Structural Steel Rigger with Industry buildingsStrong understanding of rigging techniques, equipment and safety protocolsAvailability to work reasonable amount of overtimeAbility to read and interpret construction drawingsExcellent problem-solving and critical thinking skillsEffective communication and teamwork skillsHRWL - Basic Rigger, EWP at a minimumWorking at heightsWhat we offer:Hourly rate wages plus penaltiesRostered days offMon to Friday: 6:30am2:30pm.Excellent working conditions, pay rates and regular overtimeLong-term, secure positionsAbout the company:We are one of Queensland''s structural steel fabricators and erectors with a solid history in the construction industry around South-East Queensland.
