Symptom & Urgent Review Clinic (Registered Nurse G4)Join to apply for the Symptom & Urgent Review Clinic (Registered Nurse G4) role at Grampians Health.Permanent Full Time80 hours per fortnight (with a monthly ADO)About The RoleThe Symptom and Urgent Review Clinic (SURC) provides a pathway for the rapid assessment, symptom and psychological support to patients and their families, receiving Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies (SACT) as well as disease related symptoms. The role also supports the facilitation of educational and learning opportunities for oncology nurses and collaborates internally across a variety of stakeholder groups.Key ResponsibilitiesPatient assessment and triage of planned and unplanned calls from patient/carers for symptom advice and managementAssessment, triage and management of clinical presentation for symptom review and supportLead and develop the SURC service in collaboration with key stakeholdersSupport patients receiving SACT across various oncology services both locally and within the Grampians regionDeliver education services to both patients and staffSupport and promote oncology nursing leadership within the DirectorateSkills and ExperienceRegistered Nurse with current AHPRA registrationSignificant recent oncology/haematology experienceDemonstrated understanding of the needs of patients receiving SACTExcellent organisational and time-management skillsHighly developed communication skillsAdvanced level computer skillsAbility to work autonomouslyTeam playerApplyClick APPLY or if you wish to discuss the role prior to applying, contact Jane Ryan, Nurse Unit Manager on 03 5320 4389 for a confidential discussion.This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 20242028.
