Join our innovative research team at Elanco''s Australian research facility, where you''ll play a pivotal role in developing cuttingedge animal health products and sustainable solutions for global and ANZ markets. This is a fulltime opportunity, based at our research facility in Western Sydney.As a Study Manager, you will join a collaborative and highperforming research team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, managing, conducting and reporting studies specifically focused on farm animal research and sustainability initiatives.Your ResponsibilitiesDesign study protocols, manage and conduct complex field and laboratory studies to meet global R&D project requirements and timelines.Summarize, report and interpret study data and results during and at the conclusion of animal studies.Collaborate with global research project teams, providing subject matter and operational expertise and input.Liaise with external research partners to support research initiatives.Design and implement in vivo research models.Ensure scientific protocols and procedures meet regulatory, ethical, and sustainability reporting requirements.Provide timely and accurate documentation to the Animal Ethics Committee and ensure high standards of animal welfare across all animal studies.Adhere to regulatory compliance standards (e.g., VICH GCP, OECD GLP) while promoting continuous process improvement in both traditional and sustainabilityfocused research.Support resource planning, knowledge sharing, and peer development within the research team, fostering expertise in farm animal health and sustainability.Qualifications and ExperienceEducation: Bachelor''s Degree in a sciencerelated discipline (a veterinary degree is preferred but not required).Experience:Strong understanding of research/development processes and knowledge of farm animal health, disease and sustainability initiatives.Demonstrated experience in designing, conducting, and managing research studies with a focus on farm animals.Proven interest in or experience with farm animal sustainability projects (e.g., methane reduction, feed efficiency, environmental footprint).Familiarity with sustainability research infrastructure or practical skills in relevant research methodologies.SkillsExcellent scientific writing and communication skills, capable of articulating complex scientific concepts.Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple studies concurrently.Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., VICH GCP or OECD GLP).Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., FDA, APVMA, EMA).Exposure to animal ethics processes and welfare protocols.Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.Experience coaching or mentoring peers in a scientific setting.What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred qualifications)Experience acting as Investigator or Study Director in GxP, VICH GCP, or OECD GLP studiesKnowledge of animal health products, parasites, and disease modelsExperience liaising with external research partners or CROsAbility to interpret complex scientific data and translate findings into clear reportsExperience contributing to operational planning and process improvement initiativesAdditional InformationTravel: Limited travel; flexibility required for studyrelated activitiesLocation: Yarrandoo R&D Centre, Kemps Creek, Western Sydney (onsite role)Elanco Benefits and PerksCollaborative, valuesdriven culture that supports growth and purposeAdditional leave benefitsRecognition and reward programsWellbeing support (EAP)Flexible work arrangementsElanco is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status.Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Elanco by 2x.Job DetailsSeniority level: Entry levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Research, Analyst, and Information TechnologyIndustries: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing#J-18808-Ljbffr
