The primary responsibility is to extend clinical services in the delivery of high-quality patient care. The practitioner will also perform administrative duties related to the practice of medicine.Job Specific:In collaboration with physicians, provides medical management in the ambulatory clinic and hospital settings for adults, including acute, general, and preventive care. (EF)Conducts physical examination, assesses patient health status including state of wellness and compliance with care plan, determines appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and prescribes appropriate medication regimen. (EF)Works in coordination with hospital departments, hospital management personnel, physicians, all hospital staff members, patients, and visitors to provide optimal patient centered care. (EF)Complete and maintain adequate and proper medical records with respect to all patients examined or treated in accordance with all legal, accreditation, regulatory and third-party payer requirements. (EF)Must demonstrate leadership and teaching ability.Assigned schedule may vary depending on practice needs. (EF)CVA Specific: (in addition to above listed items)Provides oversight of pharmacological and exercise nuclear stress tests. (EF)Provides oversight of CMC Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. (EF)Completes initial and maintains annual Cardiac Stress Test Competency requirements. (EF)Provides oversight of patients during cardiac exercise stress test and stress echocardiogram. (EF)Regularly attends Cardiovascular Program quality meetings.
