Northern Territory Integrity & Ethics Commissioner Davidson, Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia Strengthen public trust through independent oversight, accountability and integrity Lead a unified integrity framework in the Northern Territory Exercise statutory authority with courage, fairness and the highest ethical standards The Northern Territory Government has enacted landmark reforms to create a unified, futurefocused integrity system designed for the Territory''s unique context. Central to these reforms is the establishment of the Integrity and Ethics Commissioner, the NT''s principal integrity officer who concurrently exercises the statutory powers of the ICAC, Ombudsman, Information Commissioner and Health & Community Services Complaints Commissioner. As Commissioner, you will provide independent oversight, resolve complex complaints, and lead investigations into corruption, misconduct and maladministration. You will guide education, prevention and reporting activities that build integrity capability across NT public authorities, local government, Police conduct oversight, and public and private health and community services. The role requires courage, fairness and sound judgement in navigating politically sensitive and highprofile matters while upholding the highest ethical standards. This is a uniquely highprofile and critical public leadership appointment. This Commissioner will shape the Territory''s integrity landscape, provide stewardship of powerful statutory functions and deliver a coherent, trusted and modern integrity oversight system. It is an opportunity for a senior legal or judicial professional to lead a onceinageneration reform, influence government culture, and embed an enduring integrity architecture that protects democratic values and strengthens community confidence. Candidates will demonstrate eligibility under the Integrity and Ethics Commissioner Act 2025, senior experience in complex investigative or legal environments, a reputation for independence and ethical decisionmaking, and deep understanding of government systems and integrity frameworks.
