With more than 80 team members, we are looking for new team members to help grow our presence in the community.Job DescriptionWe have exciting opportunities for Disability Support Workers to provide in-home support for clients/NDIS participants living with complex mental and other health issues. We seek individuals who are enthusiastic, caring, compassionate, respectful, and capable of completing personal care and domestic duties.The role is initially casual, with potential for permanent part-time employment based on performance.QualificationsIndividual Support (Disability) Certificate III or higherExperience working with people with disabilities, especially with mental health needsSkills in medication assistance and/or administration (HLTHPS006)Understanding of incident reporting, documentation, complaints handling, and complex behaviour supportPositive attitudeOwn vehicle with comprehensive insurance, willing to use for workCurrent CPR & First Aid CertificateCurrent Open Drivers LicenceCurrent Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening CardAssist Client with Medication Certificate HLTHPS 006 (highly recommended)Experience with Dementia, Positive Behaviour Support, and Epilepsy is advantageousNDIS Worker Orientation ModuleNDIS Supporting Safe and Enjoyable MealsTasks & ResponsibilitiesSupport male and female NDIS participants with various mental disabilitiesAssist and mentor participants to increase independenceEncourage engagement in community activitiesModel and promote appropriate social behavioursPreferred SkillsPatience, flexibility, and understandingStrong interpersonal and communication skillsSupportive and caring natureCommitment to the rights of people with disabilities to live with dignityResponsibility and accountabilityAbility to handle physical demands of the job #J-18808-Ljbffr
