Overview As Business Development Director MMM (Mining, Mineral & Metal) , youll work closely with our Operations, Commercial and Inside Sales teams to shape, position and win complex engineering and advisory projects. This role is focused on securing sustainable, profitable work through long-term client relationships, strategic pursuits and project development. Youll play a senior leadership role in developing and executing pursuit strategies across major projects and programs of work, partnering with delivery teams to differentiate Worleys technical capability and value proposition in the market. Youll also collaborate with leaders across the business to deepen existing client relationships, identify new opportunities, and drive growth aligned to our energy transition and sustainability objectives. This role is suited to candidates experienced in winning complex engineering or professional services projects, rather than product or transactional sales. Responsibilities Partner with Operations, Commercial and Sales to develop client, pursuit and work-winning strategies across complex projects. Build and maintain senior, executive-level client relationships across energy, resources and infrastructure sectors. Identify and grow new opportunities, particularly in decarbonisation, energy transition, renewables and storage projects. Lead win strategy and win plan development across the full pursuit lifecycle. Support proposal development, commercial structuring, pricing and contractual strategy. Guide opportunities through the Customer Success Platform (CSP), ensuring visibility, governance and data quality. Deliver agreed work-winning, revenue and strategic growth targets. Qualifications Significant experience in business development, work-winning or project delivery within professional or technical services (engineering, advisory, consulting or project-based environments). Strong understanding of the energy, resources and infrastructure sectors. Demonstrated success winning complex, multi-stakeholder projects rather than selling products or transactional solutions. Proven leadership and collaboration capability, with the ability to influence across delivery, commercial and executive teams. Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, project delivery or a related discipline (commercial experience highly regarded).
