West Gippsland Healthcare Group (WGHG) is seeking an Emergency Management & Occupational Health and Safety Advisor to lead and enhance our emergency preparedness and response initiatives while supporting workplace health and safety across all sites. In this role, you will drive the continuous improvement of emergency management systems, deliver practical training, and test organisational readiness to ensure staff are equipped to respond effectively to any situation. You will also support business continuity planning, helping WGHG remain resilient in the face of disruption. Working closely with teams across the organisation and external stakeholders, you will provide expert guidance, advice, and support to embed a safety-first culture. Our preferred candidate will have: Demonstrated experience in emergency management and occupational health & safety within a complex organisation. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and compliance requirements, including the Occupational Health & Safety Act 2004 and Victorian Emergency Management Arrangements. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to educate and influence at all levels. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and apply a risk-based approach to problem-solving. A proactive and collaborative mindset, fostering a strong safety culture within an organisation.
