We offer:Professional and personal development opportunitiesGenerous leave entitlements and flexible work arrangementsA dynamic workplace close to home, surrounded by heritage charm, green spaces, and modern amenitiesJoin us and help build a city that thriveswhere your work makes a real difference every day.The OpportunityMelton City Council seeks a permanent full time Team Leader Asset Data within the Facilities and Asset Services Department.This role reports to the Coordinator Asset Management and GIS and will be leading a team responsible for the accurate and timely capture and import of Council asset data into GIS and asset management systems, and expertise in delivering geospatial and data projects and process improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the team in the accurate review and timely import of Council asset data into the GIS and asset management systems.Maintain current and accurate internal documentation relating to the management of Council asset data.Provide expertise through GIS and data management software to enhance the management and monitoring of Council asset data.Undertake specific GIS projects to assist in Councils provision of geospatial services.Primary contact for Council asset data when liaising internally and externally with maintenance contractors, state government and other authorities.To view the Position Description, click here.About youTo be successful in this role you will have the following:Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Asset Management or Geospatial Science.Extensive experience with the management of Council asset data.Good working knowledge of local government, engineering and subdivisional processes involved in the construction of Council infrastructure through to the management of its spatial data.Well-developed technical knowledge and skills across desktop GIS and data management software, e.g. QGIS, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, SQL, FME.Skills and knowledge in the collection and analysis of Council asset data often in search of solutions to new problems and opportunities for improvement.Current valid Victorian Drivers Licence.Culture and ValuesOur vision for our community is to be: "A vibrant, safe and liveable city accessible to all" and that means theres a place here for you too.
