Club Manager - Port District Football ClubPort District Football Club Largs Bay, SAFull-time (or 0.8 FTE negotiable)Are you ready to lead an elite community football club with a proud legacy and a winning culture?Port District Football Club is one of South Australias most historic and successful Australian rules football clubs, with roots dating back to 1873 and a strong tradition in local community sport. Competing in the Adelaide Footy League Division 1, the club has secured multiple top-grade premierships and is a three-time A-Grade Division 1 premier in four years including back-to-back titles most recently.We are now seeking an experienced Club Manager to lead our day-to-day operations, support our passionate volunteers and staff, and help grow the clubs footprint on and off the field as we proudly enter a new era with our brand-new clubrooms opening in 2026.About the ClubPort District FC is a community-centric football club located on the Lefevre Peninsula in Largs Bay. We field multiple senior and junior teams, including:Four Senior Mens teams (Division 1, Division 1 Reserves, C1 & C7)Two Senior Womens teamsEleven Junior teams (U7U17.5)Five Girls teams (U/9 through U/16)Auskick program for future rising starsWe are a family-friendly club that welcomes players, families, and supporters of all backgrounds and abilities.Why This Role Is SpecialThis isnt just another manager job its a chance to be at the heart of a thriving sporting club with a winning culture, strong community support, and a rich history:Recent success at the highest local level Port District has been dominant in Adelaide Footy League Division 1, securing premierships in 2022, 2024 and 2025.Historic club legacy The clubs roots stretch back more than 150 years, evolving from LeFevre Peninsula Football Club and later Semaphore Central FC before becoming Port District in 1979.Growing and inclusive club culture Strong pathways for juniors and girls teams bolster our membership and community connection.The RoleAs Club Manager, youll be responsible for:Overseeing daily club operations and internal communicationsManaging venue bookings, presentation and complianceRecruiting, rostering and supervising bar, canteen, venue, and casual staffSupporting volunteers and building a positive, inclusive cultureLiaising with council, suppliers, leagues, and regulatory bodiesAssisting with sponsorship, grants, and reportingEvent and match-day coordinationProviding regular operational reports to the Executive CommitteeAbout YouYoure organised, proactive, and a people-focused leader with experience in operations, hospitality, community sport, or venue management.
