Based at Thebarton Aquatic Centre, youll be part of a lively and energetic team that actively strives to make a positive difference in the lives of others.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide active supervision to ensure the safety of all pool usersIdentify risks and respond quickly and appropriately to incidents or emergenciesDeliver first aid when requiredPromote safe aquatic practices and encourage positive behaviours among patronsAssist with pool operations, including equipment setup, pack down, and compliance with safety standardAvailabilities may include:Mornings (5 a.m.- 10 a.m.), Days (10 a.m.- 4 p.m.), Nights (4 p.m.- 9.30 p.m.) and Weekends (6.30 a.m.- 4 p.m.)REQUIREMENTS FOR THE YSuccessful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:RRHAN-EC Masterclass Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect Education & CareHLTAID011 Provide First Aid or equivalentHLTAID009 Perform CPR or equivalentSISSS00133 Pool Lifeguard or equivalentAbility to multitask, troubleshoot and work under pressureFriendly and capable of communicating complex services and concepts effectivelyYMCA South Australia is a not-for-profit community organisation that has served the South Australian community for more than 170 years.
