Based at Deception Bay and working with the Glugor Young Parents team, this fixedterm role until January 2027 provides case management and mentoring to parents/carers and families to help them thrive. The role includes planning, developing, and delivering interactive workshops for small groups. The Glugor Young Parents program operates from a purposebuilt facility that incorporates training rooms and childrens rooms within a natural setting to support young parents, carers, infants and young children (05 years) who live in the Moreton Bay Region. Responsibilities Undertake intake, assessments and program delivery including facilitating or cofacilitating group workshops. Work with parents to develop and manage collaborative case plans and determine appropriate interventions aligned with their goals. Support parents to understand their childs needs and the positive impact of the parentchild relationship based on attachment theory. Coordinate a range of referrals and supports to internal and external services and provide assistance to engage with these services. Engage families in outreach activities and events, in home and in community. This position is a secondment backfill for approximately 12 months, commencing midJanuary 2026. We are open to appointing on a 0.6FTE or 0.7FTE basis. Availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays is required to fit with program requirements. Qualifications and Experience Relevant bachelor level qualification with a minimum of three years experience working with disadvantaged and diverse families. Demonstrated experience applying a strengthsbased, traumainformed case management framework. Demonstrated ability to establish and participate in networks for the delivery of services to young families. Demonstrated experience in workshop planning and delivery for young people. Knowledge and understanding of the diverse range of issues impacting families and ability to engage with young families from diverse backgrounds. Knowledge and understanding of early childhood development (05 years). Parent Program Facilitator; Circle of Security/Tuning into Kids is desirable.
