Overview Western Australia Return Recycle Renew Ltd (WARRRL), the organisation behind the States highly successful Containers for Change initiative, is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its next era of environmental, social and economic impact. As CEO, you will lead an organisation that is delivering on its KPIs and ready for further expansion in mid2026. The CEO works closely with a committed and engaged Board, providing strategic leadership to the organisation whilst also ensuring WARRRL fulfils its statutory obligations as Scheme Coordinator. Your role will encompass shaping longterm organisational strategy, maintaining financial sustainability, and ensuring effective governance, risk management and compliance. You will guide an already high performing executive leadership team, foster WARRRLs strong culture and ensure the organisation remains wellresourced, performance driven and aligned with its purpose, vision and values. Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership to shape longterm organisational strategy and ensure financial sustainability, governance, risk management and compliance. Lead an executive leadership team to deliver on KPI milestones and support expansion plans through mid2026 and beyond. Represent the organisation as its leading voice and advocate, building trusted relationships with Government, industry, community groups, commercial partners and the broader waste and recycling ecosystem. Navigate complex stakeholder environments to support continued integration of the Scheme and its expansion across Western Australia. Champion innovation, harness technology and drive business development initiatives that support circular economy outcomes and longterm commercial sustainability. Ensure safety, wellbeing, inclusion and environmental stewardship are embedded in the organisations culture and operations. Qualifications Senior executive experience with strategic insight, financial acumen and a collaborative leadership style (ideally including prior CEO responsibility). Proven ability to work with Boards and navigate governance and regulatory frameworks; experience in driving organisational transformation and cultural alignment. Strong interpersonal skills including communication, negotiation, relationshipbuilding and the ability to inspire others. Commitment to safety, wellbeing, inclusion and environmental stewardship; integrity, emotional intelligence and sound judgement. Track record of leading in missiondriven, yet commercially focused organisations.
