In this handson role, you''ll assist in constructing and maintaining high quality water and wastewater infrastructure that supports our community every day.As a main function of this role, you will have an understanding of the knowledge and physical abilities involved in pipelaying and the undertaking of a range of critical tasks to ensure successful pipeline installations.A typical day might includeConstruction and maintenance of water and sewer infrastructureOperating plant and equipment including excavators, loaders, and cranesSupporting emergency and planned worksWorking safely in line with WHS standards and Council procedureWe''re looking for a motivated team player who is willing to learn, grow, and contribute to the essential services our community relies on.To be successful, you will haveTrade qualification or extensive experience in water/sewer constructionCompetency operating plant and equipment (e.g. excavator, loader, VLC)A team player with a strong work ethic and commitment to safetyPhysically fit and willing to work outdoors and respond to urgent worksMandatory Qualifications or Willingness to ObtainWhite CardMR Driver''s LicenceConfined Spaces, Asbestos Handling & Traffic Control certificationsNULCA underground asset locationCert III in Water OperationsBenefitsWe are committed to the growth of our employees and have a range of benefits available to support wellbeing and career development.SalaryCommencing salary package range circa $62,700 p.a. to $65,900 p.a. plus superannuation.
