OverviewLocation: SunshineEmployment Type: Full-Time, OngoingSalary: Grade 2 + Superannuation + Salary PackagingDescription: Western Health has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated pharmacist to join our team as a permanent, full-time Grade 2 Pharmacist Oncology Manufacturing.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, provide, and support the manufacturing pharmacy services to patients receiving oncology, haematology and related therapies, and act as a representative of the Pharmacy Department in matters relating to oncology, compounded products and patient care. Also supporting the preparation of non-cytotoxic sterile and non-sterile products for other clinical areas.Apply clinical pharmacy knowledge to support safe manufacturing practice and provide clinical oncology information within scope of practice. Optimise doses and provide a cost-effective approach to ensure patients receive the most appropriate and correct treatment.Participate in risk assessments for the storage, handling, and compounding of medicines, ensuring adherence to relevant legislative or practice standards.Provide medication information to medical, nursing, and allied health staff, as well as to patients and carers, and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team to support safe and effective service delivery.Participate in reviewing and improving personal work practices within pharmacy manufacturing services and discuss opportunities for improvement.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will:Provide comprehensive knowledge of aseptic compounding, oncology/haematology pharmacy, and relevant standards/guidelines.High-level problem-solving, organisational, and time management skills to maintain manufacturing service demands.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and clinical services.Participate in medication evaluations and quality assurance activities.Position Description & About Western HealthWestern Health is one of the largest healthcare providers in Victoria, caring for a diverse and rapidly growing community of one million people in Melbourne''s western suburbs.
