Experienced and capable Human Resources Officer required to assist with internal recruitment activities for a busy and expanding Government agency. An immediate start of work is preferable, with an initial contract period of 12 months being offered.This is an in-house role requiring the successful applicant to work in-office in Orange on a full time basis.You will be joining an HR team that is responsible for the overall workforce management including the provision of advice on a wide range of HR systems, policies and procedures including employment conditions and remuneration, workforce planning, health safety and wellbeing (HSW), performance management, and learning and development.In this role you will be responsible for facilitating end to end recruitment and selection activities, as well as the coordination of learning and development initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include:undertaking all recruitment activities including drafting advertisements, recruitment correspondence, liaising with candidates, coordinating shortlisting, organising panel members, facilitating candidate screening, participating in interviews as the HR representative, informing candidates of recruitment outcomes, and reference checking;working in conjunction with labour hire agencies engaged to partner with recruitment activities;providing general guidance and support, assisting in training and coaching in selection processes, and working with line management to establish alternative recruitment strategies when required;conducting and facilitating pre-employment screening checks;processing end to end recruitment and onboarding activities;administering onboarding for new starters including new starter documents and conducting inductions;facilitating offboarding functions such as processing of terminations, conducting exit surveys and return of property and user access;providing guidance and support to supervisors and managers on a range of human resources matters;monitoring email inboxes and responding to HR related enquiries;maintaining and updating HR records, electronic files and intranet content;preparing weekly / monthly / annual reports on recruitment activity levels;drafting general correspondence, forms and basic reports and ensuring employee records are up to date;responding to employee requests regarding HR issues, rules and regulations;contribute to the review and updating of policies, procedures, position descriptions and position evaluations as required;developing documentation to streamline HR operations.To be successful in this role, you will be required to demonstrate the following qualities:strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks and work within deadlines;high level analytical skills and sound judgement;ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a small, dynamic and fast-paced team environment;conflict management experience, time management skills and sound written and oral communication skills;ability to work independently with limited supervision, as well as part of a team;strong focus on building rapport with and providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.Proven experience in a relevant human resources/specialist position including the areas of recruitment, onboarding and learning & development will be highly regarded.Sound knowledge of HR practices, legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines will be required.Experience within a government setting would be highly regarded.Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources will be preferred.Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would be highly regarded.Applicants will be required to satisfactorily complete pre-employment screening including a National Police Records Check as well as Baseline Australian Government Security Vetting Clearance.Unlock job insightsYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years'' experience do you have as a Recruitment Officer?How many years'' experience do you have in Human Resources (HR)?4wd SupacentreSydney Olympic Park, Sydney NSW#J-18808-Ljbffr
