This role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex design documentation and project interfaces.ResponsibilitiesDevelop protection designs from concept through to detailed design for HV substations.Prepare detailed engineering documentation including protection single line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface schedules, ensuring alignment with industry standards and client specifications.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of secondary systems within broader project frameworks.Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases, resolving issues and ensuring systems operate as intended.Contribute to the development of best practices, digital tools, and sustainable engineering solutions within the energy sector.QualificationsTertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on secondary systems and protection.Experience in secondary systems design for high-voltage substations, including protection schemes.Proficiency in industry-standard software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and protection coordination software (e.g., ETAP, DIgSILENT).Strong understanding of relevant standards and regulations, including IEC, IEEE, and Australian grid codes.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and engage with clients and stakeholders.What We Offer YouAt Arup, we care about each member''s success, so we can grow together.
