We offer:Professional and personal development opportunitiesGenerous leave entitlements and flexible work arrangementsA dynamic workplace close to home, surrounded by heritage charm, green spaces, and modern amenitiesJoin us and help build a city that thriveswhere your work makes a real difference every day.The OpportunityThis position will be part of the Landscape Design /Roads and Traffic Department and will provide high quality landscape architectural input in the preparation, assessment and implementation of both improvements to the existing public realm network by Council and the creation of new public realm assets for Council by the land development industry.The position will require candidates to work closely with all business units within Council, Developers and other stakeholders as an integral part of the future planning and design and delivery of the city.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Team Leader Landscape Design in the program management of Council''s suite of landscape projects and in the planning, development, programming, design, construction and handover of same, including contributing to the development of Council''s ten year capital works program.Responsible for all aspects of project design and supervision in relation to assigned landscape projects in accordance with Council''s PMF during the full project life cycle, and ensure that assigned projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope and in accordance with the approved business case.Provide regular reports to the Team Leader Landscape Design, Manager Capital Delivery, Project Owner and Project Control Group and to manage all aspects of the Project Working Group for assigned projects.Review landscape drawings, specifications, and cost estimates and provide feedback to consultants (including landscape, recreation, ecology & cultural heritage) and other Council departments.To view the Position Description, click here .About youTo be successful in this role you will have the following:Tertiary qualifications in landscape architecture or related discipline with demonstrated and substantial experience.Experience in all facets and requirements of site analysis, landscape design, development, documentation, construction and supervision.Experience in undertaking community consultation on a range of projects.Demonstrated experience in medium to large scale project design and contract management, and dispute resolutionCommunicates graphically at an advanced level using both digital and hand drawn formats to convey design ideas and concepts or documentation.Culture and ValuesOur vision for our community is to be: "A vibrant, safe and liveable city accessible to all" and that means there''s a place here for you too.
