With two manufacturing sites in Melbourne''s northern corridor and approximately 300 employees, we are committed to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer who can confidently manage end-to-end payroll in a manufacturing environment. Accounting knowledge and exposure to factory accounting will be a strong advantage, particularly in labour costing and payroll reporting.About the RoleReporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will have full ownership of payroll operations while working closely with Finance, HR, and Operations. In addition to payroll, you will support labour costing, reconciliations, and selected factory accounting activities.Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-end processing of weekly payroll in a manufacturing environment.Ensure compliance with Awards, Fair Work legislation, superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax.Maintain and administer GlobalBake Payroll and Kronos Time & Attendance systems.Manage pay structures, allowances, penalties, overtime, and leave entitlements.Prepare and maintain labour contracts and employment agreements.Payroll journals, accruals, and reconciliations to the General Ledger.Support labour costing, payroll variance analysis, and factory reporting.Assist with labour budgeting and forecasting.Provide payroll and labour cost reports to support operational decisions.Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives.About YouProven experience as a Senior Payroll Officer in a manufacturing environment.Strong hands-on experience with Global Bake and Kronos (essential).Sound understanding of Awards, EBAs, and payroll compliance.Accounting knowledge and experience in factory accounting or labour costing is highly regarded.Comfortable with reconciliations, journals, and payroll-related accounting tasks.Accounting or finance qualifications are advantageous but not essential.High attention to detail and strong Excel skills.Confident communicator who works effectively with HR, Finance, and Operations.What''s On OfferCompetitive salary package + super.Stable, long-standing Australian manufacturing business.Broad exposure to payroll, accounting, and factory operations.Supportive, collaborative team environment.If you are a senior payroll professional who enjoys working closely with operations and finance in a manufacturing setting, we would love to hear from you.Application QuestionsYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years'' experience do you have as a payroll officer?How many years of accounting experience do you have?Have you completed a qualification in accounting?Do you have experience using Microsoft Excel?How many years'' experience do you have as a Kronos Administrator?#J-18808-Ljbffr
