$230,000 $250,000 per year plus incentivesThis employer is part of an advisory group which provides:Specialist legal consulting to private clients across complex commercial and structuring matters (including employee share schemes, commercial transactions, related party restructures, shareholders'' agreements, trust structures, basic banking and finance, property transactions, securities), andan integrated advisory system being built for Australian accounting firms (which will incorporate premium technical workflows, tools and CPD).The employer is looking for a senior commercial lawyer to become Head of Legal, who will:Own daytoday legal delivery on ad hoc consulting files, andSupport the Founder in building and delivering high value, technical workflows for deployment to accounting firms.You don''t need to be a taxation expert but you will need to be open to receiving expert training in the clearly defined technical areas which support the workflows.You do need to be very strong in respect of commercial, trusts and corporations law matters within a private client context, and capable of independent signoff.The Role1. Support of the consulting work of the Founder (tailored, bespoke advisory solutions to high value clients)Drafting and reviewing:Asset Sale Agreements, Business Sale and Share Sale AgreementsShareholders'' Agreements and Unitholders'' AgreementsLoan AgreementsMortgages, Guarantees and Security AgreementsTrust deeds and variationsConstitutions, minutes, resolutions, ASIC formsManaging matters endtoend and signing off standard work independently.2. Building and Providing Quality Assurance for the Advisory SystemReviewing and refining:Documents forming part of standardised technical workflowsTrust Deeds, Company Constitutions, Mortgages and Security AgreementsWorking with the Founder to turn clearly defined technical solutions into:Checklists, workflows and decision treesDocument packs that can be safely used at scale with defined supportLegal review brief templates for external counselOwning legal QA for outputs from technical tools and tightening rules and guardrails under the Founder''s direction.Over time, your work will gradually shift away from consulting files towards support of the Advisory System and the triage of edge cases to external counsel.What Success Looks LikeIn your first 12 months:You''ll assist the Founder with the majority of routine document review you will sign off 90%95% of standard commercial/structuring work.You''ll help launch core technical workflows.You''ll assist with the onboarding of new accounting firms to the advisory system and conduct general QA of the processes.About YouYou are:an experienced senior lawyer (7+ years PQE) in commercial / private client / business advisory with a strong command of commercial law, trusts and corporations law (ideally within the contexts of HNW, family business or private client work).Excellent commercial judgement and complete comfort being responsible for the production of your own legal documentation and to signoff on matters.Interested in creating client value and building systems for use by key stakeholders.Excellent time management skills and ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, accountants and business owners.you do not need to be a tax specialist however, you will need an interest in learning how very specific technical solutions operate in the real world.Why This RoleHybrid: mix of office days (for collaboration and whiteboarding) and WFH for deep work.Earnings upside: base salary is competitive with topend private practice, with a clear path to earn well beyond standard firm rates as the Advisory System scales.Performancebased bonuses tied to milestones.Scope to share in the upside as workflows and products you help build are licensed to more firms.You work directly with the Founder, not buried in big law hierarchy.You''ll still do serious, highvalue commercial/structuring work which yields exceptional value for private clients but you''ll also be heavily involved in building a system that will benefit broader business owners.How to ApplyEmail your CV and a short note letter outlining:Your experience with commercial / trusts / corporations law work; andWhy you''re interested in building technical workflows and standardised solutions as part of what will become an inhouse role.#J-18808-Ljbffr
