PanAust Limited is an Australianheadquartered copper and gold producer in Laos, with predevelopment and exploration assets in Laos, Chile and Papua New Guinea (PNG). The Company is focused on a sustainable business model associated with the production and sale of copper and gold, delivery of production goals and growth.Phu Bia Mining''s producing assets are the Phu Kham CopperGold Operation and the Ban Houayxai GoldSilver Operation, both located in the Company''s 2,600 squarekilometre area. The company has a Mineral Exploration and Production Agreement (MEPA) with the Government of Laos which regulates exploration, development, and mining activities within the Contract Area, and sets out the Company''s tax and royalty obligations.The RoleWe are currently recruiting for an experienced IT professional to join our team on a 24month fixedterm contract. This role is based in the Lao Capital, Vientiane working Monday to Friday from the Phu Bia Mining Office, with periodic travel to the site operations expected and potential overseas travel. The successful candidate will be required to relocate to Vientiane for the role. Reporting to the Enterprise Applications Superintendent, the Senior Advisor Platform Services will help build and manage the Platform Services such as an ITSM tool, MS platform including SharePoint, etc. for PanAust Group, establishing modern & robust development & delivery practices for the team.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the team backlog, including elaboration and work breakdown.Facilitate team ceremonies such as standups, planning, and retrospectives.Lead and mentor team members, providing technical guidance and creating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Monitor and track SLA and resolution, ensuring compliance with agreed targets, and coordinate routine maintenance activities to maintain system stability and performance.Plan and oversee system upgrades, including scheduling, communication, and execution, to minimise business disruption while ensuring security and reliability.Manage work assignments to, and performance of, external service providers using recognised processes, such as agile, to ensure efficient use of resources and highquality business outcomes.Design, implement, and maintain processes and practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and deployment pipelines.Develop, design, and manage delivery of solutions and roadmaps.Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate tools and technologies to support the software development lifecycle.Manage and engage stakeholders to ensure the delivery of the supported platform to meet their business needs.Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and guidelines for the team.Lead and continuously improve service management practices, ensuring alignment with defined ITIL principles and business expectations.Collaborate with IT operations teams to ensure proactive monitoring of IT systems.Lead continuous improvement for applications in the portfolio.Define and implement release management processes if required and strategies to ensure smooth and reliable deployments.Implement and maintain deployment pipelines for multiple environments as required, ensuring consistency and traceability.Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and platform/applications upgrade and development best practices, and make recommendations for process improvements and tooling upgrades.RequirementsTertiary Qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar.A minimum of 5 years'' experience in senior platform, application support or other handson serviceoriented IT roles.Experience managing external service providers and vendors, including performance management, work allocation, and delivery assurance using recognised delivery frameworks.Demonstrated technical background in modern software delivery practices, with the ability to evaluate, select, and implement tools and technologies that support the endtoend software development lifecycle.Strong background in enterprise software development using modern cloudbased platforms.Proven highlevel planning and prioritisation skills with a demonstrated ability to work to deadlines.Continuous improvement and innovation oriented for high quality and valuedriven solutions.Demonstrated ability for collaborative work in multidisciplinary teams, with a focus on delivering positive customer and stakeholder outcomes.Mining experience highly desirable.Must be willing to travel to our site operations regularly.Must be willing to relocate to Vientiane, Laos.Our CultureHigh performance outcomes, Respect for people, Integrity, Excellence in communications, Highcalibre people and Alignment of employee to company objectives.BenefitsWe offer competitive remuneration packaging including bonus incentives (potential tax advantages), attractive residential roster with some travel in company time as well as medical insurance, children''s education and housing allowance (if applicable) and more.
