Peter Rabbit Caf is looking for a passionate and reliable Sous Chef to join our kitchen leadership team.Located in the West-End of the Adelaide CBD, Peter Rabbit is a much-loved breakfast and brunch venue, known for fresh, seasonal food, a fast-paced service style, and a supportive team culture.This role is perfect for someone who loves the energy of breakfast and brunch service and is seeking consistent daytime hours.As Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef to support the day-to-day running of the kitchen and help lead a small, dedicated team. You will play a key role in maintaining food quality, consistency, and service standards across caf service.This is a daytime-focused role, with shifts primarily during breakfast and lunch service. Start times are typically from 6:30am, with availability required across a 7-day roster (weekend work is required).Key responsibilities include:Supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operationsLeading and supervising kitchen staff during serviceMaintaining food quality, presentation, and consistencyAssisting with menu execution and developmentManaging prep, stock control, ordering, and waste reductionEnsuring food safety, hygiene, and WH&S standards are metTraining and mentoring junior kitchen staffQualificationsWe are looking for someone with previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie experience, at least 3 years in a commercial kitchen, breakfast and brunch experience preferred, confident leading a team in a fast-paced environment, and available across a 7-day roster (weekend work required).Curious to see what we do?
