Reporting to the Sales Manager and Leadership Team, you will sit at the intersection of technical estimating, commercial decisionmaking and customer relationships, with scope to help shape systems, mentor others and support the next phase of growth.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the preparation of complex, highvalue quotes and tenders across multiple industry sectorsCollaborate with customers, engineers, suppliers and internal production teams to accurately scope project requirementsDrive new and repeat business opportunities across defence, rail, transport, construction and mining marketsApply sound estimating principles, margin control and pricing strategies within the M1 ERP systemSupport order progression, delivery commitments and ongoing customer communicationContribute to continuous improvement initiatives across estimating processes, systems, quality and safetyAct as a senior technical and commercial resource within the sales and estimating functionAbout YouTrade qualified in Sheet Metal Fabrication, Boilermaking or Mechanical Engineering preferred, however candidates with extensive senior estimating or manufacturing sales experience will also be strongly consideredProven experience in senior estimating, quoting or technical sales within a manufacturing environmentStrong commercial acumen with the ability to influence pricing, margins and outcomesConfident communicator who enjoys building longterm customer partnershipsComfortable working with ERP systems and technical documentationDetailfocused, organised and capable of managing multiple prioritiesPassion for continuous improvement and bestpractice manufacturingWhat''s On OfferSenior, growthoriented role within a stable and highly respected Australian manufacturerExposure to major defence, rail and infrastructure projectsOpportunity to influence pricing strategy, customer engagement and commercial outcomesSupportive leadership team with ongoing investment in systems, technology and equipmentClear longterm career progression as the business continues to expandJoining Rockpress means becoming part of a business with a strong order book, modern facilities and a commitment to longterm investment.
