Mid North Coast Local Health District Integrated Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs (IMHAOD) is introducing a new Emergency Mental Health & Addiction Assessment Team (EMHAART) service. This service is designed to deliver safe, timely and accessible mental health and substance use assessment pathways, improving consumer outcomes and experiences across the lifespan.As a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2, you will provide advanced, specialist mental health and AOD assessment and management for consumers presenting to the Emergency Department. The role includes consultation, triage, assessment and referral to appropriate mental health or substance use services, delivered both face-to-face and via a virtual care platform, supporting emergency services and consumers across the Mid North Coast.This position plays a key role in strengthening and centralising 24/7 referral, access and entry pathways to IMHAOD services, particularly for consumers in geographically dispersed or hard-to-access areas.About Port MacquarieLocated just 4.5 hours from Sydney and 6.5 hours from Brisbane, Port Macquarie offers an exceptional lifestyle combining coastal living with regional charm.
