Opportunities across the division Analyst, Senior Analyst and Principal Analyst levelsContribute to APRA''s role as prudential regulator of financial institutionsJoin a flexible, friendly and inclusive culture with hybrid working arrangementsThe roleAPRA is seeking experienced and motivated Prudential Supervisors to join our Life Insurance, Private Health Insurance and Superannuation (LPHIS) teams.In the supervision role you will conduct prudential supervision and risk assess a defined group of regulated entities, contributing to APRA''s purpose of ensuring a stable, competitive and efficient financial system. In the member outcomes branch you will be accountable as part of a team for delivering superannuation projects and thematic activities.You are responsible for identifying and investigating prudential risks and issues in collaboration with other supervision and specialist risk teams.The team aspires to be innovative in the way it supervises, transparent in its engagement, and dynamic in its response to change.Key responsibilitiesAssess the quality of the supervised organisation''s management, strategies, practices and systems;Perform preliminary analysis of specialised supervised organisations to identify potential problems and share them with senior supervisors;Deliver project and thematic work, demonstrating capabilities including project discipline, interdisciplinary collaboration, forensic review, data analysis, and drafting of entity and public communications;Support the delivery of prudential engagements with supervised organisations by preparing agendas, briefings and participating in entity engagements as required;Adapt the style and process of supervision depending on the supervised organisations and remain flexible to deal with differences in approach;Acquire and develop a range of financial and nonfinancial analysis and other supervisory skills to support highquality analysis and risk assessment of supervised organisations.About youA naturally inquisitive mindset complemented by strong analytical, investigative and research skills;Excellent organisational, selfmanagement and prioritymanagement skills;Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills;Knowledge of the superannuation industry or a curiosity to learn;Uptodate awareness of financial market trends;Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.To work with us, you need to be an Australian citizen with eligibility to gain a Baseline Security clearance.About APRAThe Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) places you at the heart of Australia''s financial services industry.
