Parks and Gardens apprentices maintain and care for all aspects of garden and lawn maintenance including residential, playgrounds, parks, recreational areas and railways.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include: hedging, mowing lawns and grass, controlling weeds and plant pests, identifying soils and plants, pruning plants and trees, facilities management, installing irrigation systems, and using various machinery.Skills And RequirementsDriver licence (not ''L''s) and own transport essentialWhite cardTeam player, committed to safetyThe successful candidate may need to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug testQualifications4 year apprenticeship on the job including 2.5 years at TAFE.
