This includes adult and paediatric care and supportive care.The Medical Lead will work in collaboration with the HNELHD Executive Directors, Palliative and End of Life Care Clinical Stream and relevant Networks and Streams to work towards a districtwide model of care for the provision of Palliative and End of Life that is safe, effective, evidencebased, equitable, patientcentred and aligns to HNELHD''s strategic and operational plans.About the RoleProvide expert clinical input into the development of Palliative and End of Life Care services across HNELHD.Assist in creating and supporting Districtwide oncall rosters for these services.Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to drive collaboration and change.Offer clinical advice to support research and practice improvements and help translate evidence into everyday care.Promote safety and quality by participating in audits, incident reviews, and morbidity and mortality meetings.Uphold professional standards and compliance with national safety, quality, and risk management requirements.About YouFellowship of the RACP (Palliative Medicine or Paediatric Palliative Medicine) or AChPM.Demonstrated current and senior level medical leadership experience in Palliative Medicine/Paediatric Palliative Medicine.Strong communication, collaboration and negotiation skills.Proven ability to develop and implement service delivery models and manage change.Commitment to clinical governance and risk management principles.About UsHNELHD is one of the largest local health districts in NSW which services a population of more than 970,000 across the Hunter, New England and Lower Mid North Coast areas.
