With over 39 years of success built on our team''s passion for horticulture, we''re looking for like-minded individuals to join our growing business.Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Gardener to manage the garden and grounds maintenance for commercial properties in Brisbane. The successful candidate will be managing and coordinating day-to-day maintenance activities, ensuring the outdoor spaces are safe, well-presented, and maintained to the highest standards, all within budget and in line with client expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strong on-site leadership, setting a positive example for quality, safety, and professionalism.Carry out a broad range of horticultural maintenance duties including mowing, pruning, weeding, mulching, and general plant care.Plan, coordinate, and deliver scheduled maintenance programs to ensure gardens remain tidy, safe, and visually appealing.Monitor plant health, identify pests, diseases, or deficiencies, and implement appropriate treatments in line with best practice.Safely operate, maintain, and care for all gardening tools, machinery, and equipment.Liaise professionally with site management, clients, and residents to maintain high service standards and minimise disruption.Ensure all works comply with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies, procedures, and site-specific requirements.Manage green waste removal and maintain clean, hazard-free outdoor environments.Assist with seasonal planting programs, landscape improvements, and basic irrigation inspection and maintenance.Monitor time, materials, and resources to ensure works are completed within the allocated maintenance budget.Skills & ExperienceProven experience in garden or landscape maintenance, ideally in a commercial or aged care setting.Strong horticultural knowledge, including plant care, turf maintenance, and pest/disease management.Previous leadership or team coordination experience preferred.Ability to plan and prioritise daily tasks to meet deadlines.Confident in using and maintaining gardening equipment (mowers, blowers, hedge trimmers, etc.).Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work respectfully within a team or when engaging with clients or members of the public.Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.Physically fit and capable of performing outdoor manual work in various weather conditions.Relevant horticulture qualifications (Certificate III or higher) desirable.Chemical spraying licence (AQF3) is an advantage.Why work for usFullTime (38 hours) position with entitlements from commencementOn-the-job development / coaching from ManagementOpportunity to progress within the companyAll equipment & uniforms suppliedVehicle & Fuel CardFlexible working hours & overtime availableUnlock job insightsYour application will include the following questions:Have you completed a qualification in horticulture?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years'' experience do you have as a Landscape Maintenance Gardener?Do you have a current Australian driver''s licence?Researching careers?
