The town is situated at the intersection of three state highways: the Mid-Western Highway, the Olympic Highway and the Lachlan Valley Way, making it a central hub for travel, freight and logistics.Cowra, New South WalesAbout The OpportunityCowra Council is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic Grounds Maintenance Attendants to join our Parks & Gardens Section. These roles play a key part in maintaining Council''s town and village parks, gardens and open spaces to a high standard, ensuring these areas remain safe, attractive and welcoming for the community.DutiesThe positions involve working across multiple small teams and contributing to a range of activities within horticulture, greenkeeping, grounds maintenance and arboriculture. Duties are varied and predominantly hands-on, including but not limited to:Mowing and edging (whipper snipping)Spraying and weed controlWatering, mulching and fertilisingPruning and plantingWaste collection and disposalOperation of plant, tools and equipment associated with grounds maintenanceApplicants should have demonstrated experience in grounds maintenance or a similar field, with the ability to safely operate relevant plant and machinery such as mowers and chainsaws. A current Class C Driver Licence is essential.
