Reporting to the Director, Global Finance and based in our Melbourne office, this role calls for strong attention to detail, a disciplined and structured approach, and a continuous improvement mindset.What you''ll doKey contributor in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements, including supporting external audits, tax and ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting StandardsPerform monthend and yearend closing activities, preparing accurate balance sheet reconciliations, analysing financial performance and assisting with management reportingManage monthend sharebased payment accounting, including journal preparation, reconciliations, query resolution and analytical reviewsManage monthly lease accounting processes, including posting lease entries, processing lease modifications, and establishing new leases in line with AASB/IFRS 16Identify opportunities and implement ways to improve financial processes, controls and reporting efficienciesPartner with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decisionmakingAssist with the implementation and development of systems, controls, policies and procedures to support growth and expansionPartner with various business units to ensure financial accountability and provide insights to drive business performanceCollaborate with counterparts in the US and the UK, which may include evening availability for calls when necessaryAssist with global transfer pricing activities, including managing intercompany loan balances, overseeing intercompany recharges, and ensuring compliance with all related regulatory obligationsAssist the Director, Global Finance with any ad hoc tasks and projects, where requiredWhat you''ll needExperience in a similar role with an ASX listed companyExperience with intercompany, foreign currency transactions, sharebased payments, cashflow reporting/forecasting, payroll processing and impairment experience preferredExtensive knowledge of International Financial Reporting StandardsStrong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problemsolvingExcellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholdersStrong interpersonal skills, able to work independently and in a team environmentAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsKnowledge of NetSuite and Workday Adaptive Planning desirable but not essentialAbility to multitask in a fastpaced environmentTeamwork and ability to interface with employees at all levels of managementStrong initiative and ability to work with very little supervisionWhat your success will look likeIn 6 months, success in this role will look like:Consistently accurate and timely monthend close processes across all assigned areasFully up to speed with all assigned processes and accounting areas, demonstrating a strong understanding of the business and the ability to independently manage responsibilitiesIn 12 months, success in this role will look like:Implementing improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy and controlProviding clear insights and recommendations to management, helping to drive informed business decisionsStrong stakeholder relationships and a reputation as a trusted, proactive finance partnerWhy Catapult?We have amazing people.
