You''ll manage production and nonproduction environments for our core trading and reporting systems, implementing proactive monitoring and performance tuning strategies.Key responsibilities include:Managing SQL Server environments (2016-2022) across Sydney and London operationsImplementing AlwaysOn High Availability solutions and disaster recovery strategiesCollaborating with development teams to provision masked, productionlike datasetsAutomating recurring DBA tasks and developing tools for operational efficiencySupporting migration and modernisation projects aligned with our global data strategyProviding Level 2 database support and incident resolution following ITIL methodologiesWhat type of person will be successfulWe''re looking for an experienced SQL Server DBA with at least 5 years of handson experience who thrives in a collaborative, fastpaced environment. You should have strong technical skills combined with excellent communication abilities.SQL Server DBA expertise with proven automation experienceStrong knowledge of evolutionary database designs and DevOps processesHandson experience with AlwaysOn High Availability solutionsDatabase backup, recovery, and performance tuning expertiseSecurity implementation including TDE encryptionProficiency in TSQL and PowerShell scriptingExperience with gitbased source control systemsKnowledge of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and Power BIEligibility to work in Australia permanentlyCMC Markets is powered by our people.
