OverviewJoin Our Team: Marketing Team Leader English Social Media (Volunteer Role)Team: English Social Media Team, External CommunicationReporting to: Marketing ManagerLocation: Adelaide-based onlyCommitment: 58 hours/weekAbout the roleWe are seeking a Marketing Team Leader (English Social Media) to guide and grow CLCN''s social media presence across Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook. This volunteer leadership role coordinates a small team of Content Creators, including graphic designers, photographers, and video editors, to deliver engaging, consistent, and purpose-driven content that supports CLCN programs and initiatives.Working closely with the Marketing Manager and other internal teams, you will translate organisational activities into targeted social media content that strengthens CLCN''s visibility and engagement with students, emerging professionals, and the wider community. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys shaping content direction, leading a creative team, and contributing their skills within a mission-driven not-for-profit organisation.ResponsibilitiesAs the Marketing Team Leader (English Social Media), you will:Work under the guidance of the Marketing Manager to develop and implement content and engagement strategies across Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.Lead and manage a volunteer team of Content Creators, allocating tasks, providing feedback, and supporting collaboration using shared tools and resources such as Canva and Google Drive to maintain efficient workflows and consistent content output.Oversee the planning, creation, and scheduling of social media content through a structured content and media calendar, ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with CLCN''s brand voice, values, and objectives.Coordinate digital campaigns and promotional activities to raise awareness of CLCN programs, events, and initiatives, driving engagement with students, professionals, and the wider community.Collaborate closely with internal departments and program teams to understand their marketing needs and translate them into effective, targeted social media content.Monitor platform performance and contribute insights and recommendations, working alongside the Business Analyst to support data-informed marketing decisions.Contribute creative ideas for content formats, campaigns, and engagement tactics that resonate with English-speaking audiences across different platforms.Maintain clear and effective communication between your team and the broader Marketing function, ensuring timelines, priorities, and deliverables remain well organised and on track.QualificationsWho We Are Looking ForWe welcome applicants who are:Confident and proactive communicators, able to engage with internal teams and translate ideas into clear, engaging social media content.Comfortable leading and supporting a creative team, coordinating tasks, and working collaboratively with designers, photographers, and content creators.Well organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage content schedules, deadlines, and multiple priorities.Creative thinkers with an interest in digital marketing, storytelling, and platform-specific content for Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.Passionate about youth engagement, community initiatives, and supporting multicultural and international student communities.Demonstrate a growth mindset, with a willingness to learn, reflect, and continuously improve within a volunteer leadership role.Motivated to contribute meaningfully and develop leadership and marketing skills in a purpose-driven, not-for-profit environment.All volunteers are subject to a three-month probation period. During this period, CLCN must not be listed on resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, or other professional platforms, and CLCN cannot be used as a referee or reference.
