OverviewThe Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) is seeking a Licensing Officer to support the delivery of tobacco licensing functions within Tobacco Licensing Victoria (TLV).About the Business UnitTLV implements a tobacco regulation and licensing scheme to reduce illicit tobacco in Victoria. Since 1 July 2025, retailers and wholesalers can apply for a licence to sell tobacco. Enforcement powers will come into effect in February 2026.ResponsibilitiesAdhere to frameworks and processes for tobacco licensing functions, including the administration and assessment of licence applications.Undertake preassessment activities on tobaccorelated applications.Prepare standard correspondence to applicants and industry participants.Assess, investigate and respond to routine enquiries and requests for information from internal and external stakeholders.Deliver consistent and highquality service delivery in a complex and dynamic environment.QualificationsDemonstrated ability to deliver highquality administrative support.Experience in highvolume, fastpaced operational environments with a commitment to performance targets.Adaptability to a dynamic environment, initiative and effective communication skills.About YouTo be successful, you will have a willingness to adapt to a dynamic environment, a demonstrated initiative and effective communication skills.How to ApplyPlease click the Apply button on this advertisement.
