Collaboration is keyyou''ll work closely with our team and communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders to achieve outstanding results.ResponsibilitiesPerforming handson engineering investigations, analysis and assessmentsReviewing and signingoff designs and associated documentation prepared by other team membersProactively coordinating and managing project scopes of work, budgets and delivery schedulesManaging relationships with existing clients and developing new business relationshipsPreparing cost estimates and proposals for new opportunitiesImplementing and promoting the company''s Integrated Management System (IMS) policies and proceduresPlaying an active role in the business leadership group through regular meetings, workshops, training and business development activitiesTo be successful in this role, you will meet the following essential criteria:Degree qualification in Structural Engineering, recognised by Engineers AustraliaRelevant industry experience of 7 years or moreChartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) qualified by EA with an eligibility to obtain RPEQ & RPEV if requiredComprehensive knowledge and proven technical experience in structural steel and reinforced concrete design including AS4100, AS1170, AS3600 etc.A strong working knowledge with a range of structural design software packages such as SPACEGASS, IDEA StatiCa, Strand 7 or similar would be highly regardedExperience or ability to perform site investigations including structural integrity with risk rating, dilapidation surveys of reinforced concrete and steel structures.Ability to coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines and drafting team within the company on project basisExperience in the application of engineering design guidelines, relevant acts, regulations and standardsSuperior report writing experienceCompetent in Microsoft 365Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsCurrent drivers licenceStructural engineers meeting the following desirable criteria will be considered favourably:Demonstrated leadership, business development and project management skillsAbility to control business unit costs and manage budgetsLocal, consulting experience preferred, however relevant global experience will be consideredA valid construction white card for site visitsAbout the PositionPosition Type:Permanent - Full Time or Part Time you decide!Reports To:Group Leader - Civil/Structural EngineeringLocation: Advitech office, located in the Emergent Group Headquarters, Newcastle.
