From the 480MWh Summerfield BESS connection and the Hydrogen Jobs Plan 275kV connection in South Australia, to the 2.8GWh Eraring BESS and the 500kV Goulburn River Solar Farm connection work in New South Wales, Enerven is providing the critical infrastructure needed to drive Australia''s renewable energy transition.With extensive knowledge and experience in the power sector, Enerven collaborates with utilities across Australia, having panel agreements with TransGrid and serving as the maintenance and service provider for ElectraNet. We also partner with developers including Origin, AGL & AMP.Specialising in the structural, civil and transmission engineering discipline, the Principal Transmission Lines Engineer provides professional engineering advice to internal and external clients and supports the transmission design team in the development of work methods, transmission infrastructure engineering design, calculation, and integration. The Senior Design Engineer also acts as a subject matter expert supporting Enerven functions of Construction, Maintenance and Restoration in the area of overhead transmission lines and related activity.Day to day you will:Provide technical leadership and support to the engineering & design project team and mentor junior team membersProvide subject matter expert advice within the business for matters relating to overhead transmission lines and related activityProvide professional engineering for overhead transmission lines i.e.:Engineering input to construction and maintenance work methodsStructure design, footing design and line design (route selection/structure spotting/PLSCADD modelling)Technical support to related design and engineering disciplinesEmergency restoration supportOnsite project support for construction and maintenance teamsEngage with clients to deliver major infrastructure projectsWork with industry suppliers and service providers to facilitate delivery of designs and transmission construction worksAbout youYou will have a strong background in transmission engineering, construction and maintenance practices along with design expertise, PLSCADD proficiency, and leadership skills. You must be detailoriented, collaborative and committed to quality and safety.Specific qualifications and experience required include:A minimum of 10 years experience within the transmission industryDegree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering, that will allow admission as Corporate Member of Institute of Engineers, Australia.
