Senior Consultant - Forensic Accounting AdvisoryOur Forensic Accounting & Advisory Services practice undertakes a wide range of engagements, including commercial disputes, litigation support and expert witness engagements, business valuations, fraud investigations and financial investigations. Our clients include nearly all of the major global financial institutions, private equity houses, law firms and many corporates.As a Senior Consultant (3-5 years experience), you will supervise, execute and complete client engagements, with responsibility for conducting accounting and financial analysis, and presenting your findings in a written form. You will have visibility across the whole engagement, allowing you to appreciate how each aspect of the engagement comes together to deliver a high-quality final product. Your professional development will be enhanced through internal and external training, on-the-job coaching and mentoring. You will develop a strong knowledge of the legal process, especially with regard to litigation and providing expert opinions, while making use of your established analytical, accounting and finance skills.What You''ll DoConduct financial analysis using Microsoft Excel and other tools to solve problems, include loss and damage assessmentReview information received and identify further information required to complete the analysisAnalyse and interpret large volumes of information, including accounting, financial and banking recordsReview financial statements for compliance with Australian Accounting StandardsUndertake research into companies and industries using Capital IQ and other data sourcesPrepare expert reports, client reports and presentations that detail project scope, methodology and findingsInteract and meet with clients, including lawyers, in house counsel and senior accounting personnelDevelop project planning and management skillsSupervise the work of junior staff and provide coaching to junior team membersUndertake networking and marketing activities to develop professional contactsAssist senior team members with new business development activitiesContribute to company initiatives and team development activitiesQualifications & ExperienceBachelor''s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related disciplinesCompleted or working towards an Australian or internationally recognised professional accounting qualification3-5 years of professional accounting experience, including experience such as forensic accounting, business valuations, auditing and/or management accountingStrong understanding of, and interest in, forensic accountingProficiency in both written and spoken English requiredExperience in writing reportsExcellent analytical and quantitative skillsDetailed knowledge of accounting principlesProficiency with the Microsoft Office applicationsAdaptability in a fastpaced and dynamic working environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to handle and analyse complex financial informationExperience of leading small teamsAbility to work on multiple client matters at one timeAbility to work independently with limited supervisionAbility to work with senior team members and the client in demanding, deadlinedriven situationsStrong work ethic and integrity, and high level of professionalismThis role may require travel to client and FTI offices.Our BenefitsApart from the wellstructured career path and excellent team environment, our employees enjoy a variety of perks and benefits.
