As the Coordinator Traffic and Transport, you will provide strategic leadership to build a proactive service, delivering an efficient, safe and integrated transport environment in our Local Government Area.Additionally, as the Coordinator Traffic and Transport, you will be responsible for advocating for and seeking funding for active and sustainable transport opportunities for the Local Government Area.What We OfferPermanent, Full-Time - 70 hours per fortnightBase pay range: $127,000.00/yr - $148,000.00/yr, plus 12% superannuation, plus market allowance provision to be negotiated based on skills and experience3.5% Civil Liability AllowanceLeaseback vehicle OR vehicle allowanceOpportunity to work a 9-day fortnightHybrid working arrangement with flexible start and finish timesHealth and Wellbeing Paid LeaveFitness Passport Program offering discounted membership for you and your family to selected facilitiesEmployee Assistance ProgramSalary Packaging OptionsWhat We''re Looking ForTertiary qualifications in Civil/Civil & Environmental EngineeringCurrent Class C Drivers LicenceConstruction Induction (White Card)Minimum 5 years'' experience in local government traffic and/or related fieldsDemonstrated experience in administering the Council Traffic Advisory CommitteeAbility to communicate effectively and sensitively with Councillors, Members of Parliament, state government department representatives and the community on traffic and transport issuesExperience in preparing high quality concept designs for civil infrastructure road worksExtensive knowledge of development application procedures and reportingUnderstanding of traffic engineering modelling software, GIS (mapping) software, CAD softwareAbility to provide advice on traffic and road safety issues pertaining to strategic plans and legal proceedingsDemonstrated experience in the application of Australian Standards, RMS guidelines, Roads Act and other relevant traffic legislationDemonstrated ability to manage resources and promote a team environment to achieve team, and broader business objectivesDemonstrated experience using Auto CADDemonstrated experience in facilitating public consultation processes and high-level conflict resolution skillsExcellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skillsAbility to work on multiple projects with excellent time management skillsKnowledge and understanding of EEO policies and proceduresHow to ApplyIf you possess the attributes located in the Position Description essential criteria, then please submit your application today.Applications must be completed and submitted via our website.
