PLS is a community legal centre based in Brisbane that works with incarcerated people in Queensland. PLS practice in administrative law and human rights law to help achieve the following goals:Prevent and address human rights violations in prisonIncrease safe release from prison and reduction of recidivismPromote rehabilitation and reduction of recidivismReduce imprisonment rates for First Nations people and people with disabilityPLS are committed to providing high quality representation to achieve meaningful outcomes for their clients.The Successful CandidateTo be successful in this role, you will be an admitted Lawyer with up to 3 years'' PAE and possess the following essential requirements.Current Queensland practising certificateStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong client service focus and a commitment to working with disadvantaged peopleAbility to deal with sensitive and confidential information with discretion and compassionExcellent time management, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesAbility to work collaboratively within a small teamDrivers licence and ability to attend prisons (criminal history check required)Experience in administrative law and human rights law is also desirable.Apply now#J-18808-Ljbffr
