The IMHIU features six single bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and a comfortably furnished dining and lounge area, making the environment as welcoming and homelike as possible. The service includes a fulltime psychiatrist, which brings benefits to all mental health consumers in the region. To find out more about the Integrated Mental Health Inpatient Unit.About the RoleAs a Registered Nurse within the Local Health Network Mental Health service, you will deliver comprehensive, evidencebased, recoveryfocused care across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings. You will engage in individual and family therapies, group programmes, health promotion, and community development initiatives, supporting the wellbeing of consumers and their families. This role offers opportunities for continuous professional development and career progression from novice to proficient practitioner, with accountability for nursing standards, delegated care, and making a meaningful impact on consumer outcomes.As an Enrolled Nurse, you will provide essential support in the delivery of evidencebased, recoveryoriented mental health services. Working under the guidance of experienced clinicians, you will contribute to integrated care across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings. You will remain accountable for your actions and ensure highquality care for consumers, while developing your skills and confidence in mental health nursing practice.Please refer to the role description below for more detailed information on the position, responsibilities, and qualifications.Qualifications & ExperienceRN / M1Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practising certificate.Be enrolled and/or willing to enrol in further postgraduate studies within Mental Health practice.Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.Experience working with Aboriginal consumers.ENC / ENDMust be enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practising certificate.Experience, within the boundaries of education and skill preparation, in the provision of nursing care in the mental healthcare setting in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.Experience working with Aboriginal consumers.Other InformationImmunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances).SA Health is committed to providing an inclusive workplace that embraces diversity and inclusion for all employees.
