In this role, you''ll proactively assist and manage end to end varied procurement process and contracting activities across a broad range of suppliers and subcontracts.Your role will require hands-on proactive and transactional experience with the establishment and management of any number of commercial, procurement and contracting documents, not limited to confidentiality, licensing, leasing, teaming, partnering, subcontracting, services and supplies, standing offers, financing, investment, etc.Your work will directly support our mission of reviving high-tech manufacturing and delivering sovereign capability, contributing to landmark projects that shape the nation''s security.As a Procurement Specialist, you will also:Initiate, draft, evaluate and negotiate subcontracts. This will include the drafting and management of approaches to market such as Requests for Information / Tender / Quotation, as well as progressing the preferred down selected supplier(s) through to Subcontract execution through document finalisation (including but not limited to T&C''s, commercial analysis etc.), clarifications and input from relevant stakeholders as needed.Manage the inputs and reviews from a commercial and pre-contracting aspect with RFx evaluation activities (which may canvass RFP, RFQ, RFT) to achieve best value for money outcomes for the organisation and mitigate risk exposure.Ensure supplier activities adhere to applicable regulatory trade control (export-import) requirements.Identify gaps, opportunities and participate in the development of process improvement initiatives and value-adding opportunitiesEnsure at all stages of contracting, alignment and ongoing management of subcontractor with prime contracting (including necessary flow down requirements and compliance), and company policies and processes.What you''ll bringTo succeed in this role, you will have:Demonstrated ability to manage full tender lifecycles, delivering commercially robust, competitive and compliant procurement outcomesStrong commercial and business acumen that includes negotiation skills, problem-solving abilities, good judgment, and the proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management.A solutions-focused mindset to adapt and remain flexible in an agile environment.Strong analytical and written skillsThe ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams, ensuring strong communication and alignment across all stages of the procurement and contracting process.It would be great if you also haveTertiary qualifications in a related disciplineWorking knowledge of ASDEFCON (desirable but not essential)Security Clearance RequirementsTo join us in building Australia''s defence future, you must be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship is required).
