Job DescriptionReporting to the Commercial Manager, and with a team of 4 direct reports, you will be responsible for mitigating commercial, supply chain, and project schedule risk through implementation and use of effective contract management processes, ensuring delivery of external services and resources within time and budgetary parameters. This role will be offered as a FIFO opportunity from/to Australia working on a 16/12-day roster.ResponsibilitiesProviding contract management related system training across the site.Training and supervision of subordinate staff (contract coordinators).Assist site-based contract owners prepare Scope or Works and assess supplier capability / capacity to be used in competitive sourcing processes by the Procurement team.Implement effective Contract Management systems and practices of site-based contracts across maintenance, mining and civil works, logistics, to ensure the service delivery by the contractor is in accordance with MCG contracts.Regular Contractor and Contract Owner engagement to ensure effective and timely progress claim review, approval, disputes, and cost control, managing day-to-day issues, KPI.Reporting, Business Improvement, scope writing, new scope / Variation management, managing scope creep.Ensure service delivery by Hidden Valley Mine personnel is in accordance with the obligations of the contract/Contract Management Plan.Drafting and managing the approval process for the issue of contractual correspondence to support MCG contract owners.Be a key member of Tender Evaluation teams and assist in the preparation of Recommendation to Award for contracts.Engage internal stakeholders, including end-users, Purchasing, Logistics and Inventory and maintaining good relationships.Be a key conduit between the site-based teams, and the broader Harmony Procurement and Supply Chain teams for all procurement and supply chain matters.Working With the Brisbane Based Procurement TeamReviewing terms of new and expiring contracts.Drafting of short and medium form agreements, variations and amendments, deed of settlement and/or release.Providing legal opinion and issue paper on contractual issues.QualificationsBachelor''s degree in either engineering, legal or commercial with demonstrated experience in Contract Management in civil or mining industries. (Essential)10 years'' experience in Contract management with at least 5 years demonstratable experience leading and nurturing teams.Sound knowledge in Pronto (or similar ERP) and Microsoft products particularly Excel.Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.PNG mining industry experience.
