Their Health Services division delivers a primary health care service to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of the Gold Coast & surrounding communities.The organisation values the contributions of all staff and is committed to providing an inclusive workplace where all staff feel accepted, included and welcomed.Position DescriptionThis organisation is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse who is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The successful candidate will provide high quality health services including assessment, examination, treatment and case management, along with contributing to the development of models of holistic health incorporating continuity of care. As part of the organisation''s ongoing growth and development, you will be joining a community-focused team at the Bilinga clinic. This role is fixed term, part time, 22 hours per week, with flexibility across days and times, until December 2026.Position DutiesProvide quality nursing practice within an Aboriginal primary health care model of service by assisting the medical/primary health care team and effectively coordinate own and team''s workload to achieve resultsMake a positive contribution to illness prevention and promotion of health through chronic disease management, health screening, health assessments, recalls and patient educationUnderstanding of the principles of primary health care and the ability to work with a multi-disciplinary teamEffective communication skills written, verbal and interpersonal to ensure quality medical documentationDemonstrated clinic experience and the ability to implement and support a comprehensive model of chronic disease with a view to achieve better outcomes for clientsOperate within clinical policy and procedures at all times.Position RequirementsCurrent AHPRA registrationMinimum 2 years'' experience as a Registered NursePhlebotomy experiencePrevious experience working with culturally diverse peopleDemonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomesAbility to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peopleDemonstrated computer literacy including proficient keyboard and data entry skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary teamCurrent Qld C class drivers licence.Additional InformationThis position requires the successful applicant to satisfy a national criminal history check and hold a current drivers'' license.A Blue Card for working with children is desirable (in addition to AHPRA registration).Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.About BilingaBilinga is a southern coastal suburb in the City of Gold Coast, Queensland.For more information on this position, please contact our team via [email protected] apply via the ''Apply Now'' button on this page.Following successful placement, eligible candidates may be entitled to receive support and financial assistance through Health Workforce Queensland''s comprehensive workforce attraction and retention incentives.
